I got style - Kiss My Style, that is!

It's always fun to win something, but it's even more delightful when you get an extra cool gift on top of what you've won. I won a set of wine glass rings from the Kiss My Style blog giveaway, and look what I got!Not only is Meg (Kiss My Style shop) a super talented and crafty lady, and an all-around wonderful person, but she is extremely thoughtful as well. She remembered that I liked to knit and sent along a set of Knit Klips, which are going to be so very handy when I make my next sweater!! You can get a set of your own at her shop. :)

And here is the sweet, sweet wine charms set (check out the other adorable ones that she sells) ~
Thanks so much, Meg! What a wonderful way to start my week!

Calling all bakers

Wowohwowohwow, N. Marie (Ever So Sweet blog) posted what I think is my current favoritest (I know it's not a word, Mr. Spell-Check) baked good: Organic Blueberry and Oat Bars. If you bake, you have to try this; it is so good, I smile just thinking about the piece I had after dinner last night. I look forward to sharing it with friends when they come over for a playdate today.

I was also going to recommend the King Arthur Flour free shipping on orders over $75 offer (which only lasts until Thursday), but I'm experiencing some problems with their site (that is, the cart doesn't show that I get free shipping even though my order is much over $75) and I have not yet received an answer to my email, so I can't recommend it for now.

Hope you're all having a great week! I caught up to my NaNo count last night, so I'm delighted. :)

Under the Willow brings sunshine to my life!

I'm positively panicking at all the stuff I need to get done this month (granted, it's a good panic...LOL!), but it's so nice to be cheered up by friends, such as those of you who drop by to comment. Carrie went the extra step and brought some nice-smelling sunshine into my life!I received this beautiful package from her yesterday; is that not the sweetest face-cloth you've ever seen?In fact, it was so pretty and darling, I almost couldn't bare to open it. But curiosity got the best of me, and I was glad I opened up - more samples of Carrie's absolutely fabulous laundry detergent! How did she know I was down to my last scoop of the previous batch she gave me?! To put me in the Holiday Spirit (yeah, I'm ready for Christmas...bring it on!), she put them in a festive holiday pouch that she sewed herself. If you hadn't tried Whispering Willow Natural Laundry Soap already, you really, really MUST!
Back to writing NaNo, on which I've fallen behind already, and sniffing my laundry.... ;)

And the winner is...

...everyone who supports handmade! ;)

Seriously though, I want to announce the winner to my I-am-on-Artfire Giveaway! Bet you thought I'd forgotten, didn't you? I guess that's understandable given how extra flakey (like my pie crusts) I have been lately.

I hate it when I make it hard on myself, but I had to go through all my postings for September and October and count up how many times each entrant for the giveaway had commented.

Wendy (Athena Academy) led the pack with 16 comments, followed closely by Blonde Duck (A Duck in Her Pond) with 14, and Michelle (Chocolate and Marmalade Tea) with 12. Anyone who commented at all during that 2 month period were given an entry, and because Michelle (Blog of the Soap Pixie) had so many comments, I gave her 5 entries just for the halibut. ;) I differentiated between the 2 Michelles as "Michelle Q" for mommy of Quincy (the cutest cat ever!), and "Michelle P" for Pixie! After printing all the names out, I cut them into strips. Boy, do I love my paper cutter:Then, I tossed all the names into our little plastic jack-o-lantern, and swirled them about:I had ds#2 reach in with his tiny hands (at age 11, his hands are still a bit smaller than mine), and pull out the winner:Statistically, you'd think those three with the most comments would have really good chances of winning this. But, here you are. Congratulations, Anne-Marie (Soap and the Finer Things in Life)!! I will be sending you this bone-bead:And just for fun, I had ds#2 pull a runner-up name (alas, stupid me forgot to take a photo), which turned out to be Michelle P! So, Michelle, I will have a little surprise for you soon. :)

Thanks to all for entering, but, more importantly, thanks mega-bunches to you for gracing my blog with your presence and leaving me comment love!! I really appreciate all of you!
