Ok, so I said I was going to take a blogging break...I guess I meant a 20 hour break.
Anyway, in case you didn't know, I didn't win the Night Vision Goggles, but I found something equally cool!
In the November issue of Scientific American, there's an article, Jacking into the Brain, which is about brain-machine interface technology (a la cyberpunk sci fi). It mentions that research is currently being done on using arrays of electrodes as artificial retinas, and that if it works, it could be tweaked to give humans night vision.
